Live, Limae, Hydrate
Health professionals recommend that you drink up to two litres of water a day in order to hydrate and replace the water your body normally loses throughout the day. Water has great benefits for our skin, helps us feel fuller for longer, maintains a healthy digestive system and carries nutrients to our body’s cells.
But sometimes work or family life gets in the way and you forget to drink a glass of water or two. We’ve all been guilty of pushing that jug of water to the back of the fridge.
But what if there was an easier way to successfully hydrate throughout the day. We know that we get our water from beverages and food, so why not make water fun by adding it to your smoothie with water-rich foods or even cut up some frozen fruit and put it in your glass of water for a treat.
This sounds good to us! Instead of using milk, we can opt for some water in our next smoothie in order to keep ourselves hydrated. We can boost this even more by adding watermelon, strawberries, oranges and peaches to the smoothie or even some vegetables that are water-rich, including lettuce and cucumber.
Check out our ultra-hydrating smoothie below.
1 cup finely sliced watermelon
1/4 cup of finely sliced strawberries
1 small Lebanese cucumber, finely sliced
1/4 cup of grated celery
1/2 cup of coconut water
Fill up the rest of the blender with water
We are loving these amazing benefits!
