Travel Smoothly and In Style

Life seems to be all speed and no slowing down these days!

As soon as we hear our morning alarm ring, signaling the start to the day, we jump out of bed, have a shower, throw on some clothes and race out the door.

It's only once we're in the car on the way to work, or going for a jog along the beach or heading to a shopping date with the girls, we suddenly realise that we forgot to grab a bite to eat or even had something to drink.

That's why more and more people are turning to smoothies and juices to get the daily nutrients and vitamins they need to make it through the day.

There are so many ways you can pre-prep when it comes to smoothies. You can cut up the fresh ingredients overnight and pop them in the freezer, so all you need in the morning is a blender and your favourite milk. Or if you have one of our portable blenders you can throw the ingredients in the blender, put it in your bag or beach bag on the way out the door. Easy, simple, fast and delicious!

You can enjoy the smoothie once you get to work or while you're sitting on your towel on the sand watching the waves and breathing in the salty sea air.

Sounds perfect to us! Something else that is pretty perfect is the below smoothie. We love nothing better than drinking this one on the go.
Ingredients:

A tablespoon of Greek yoghurt
1/4 cup of whole blueberries
1/4 cup of chopped strawberries
One whole baby cucumber, finely sliced
A teaspoon of turmeric (or your favourite protein powder)
A teaspoon of chia seeds

Got to love these benefits!

Greek yoghurt
- Helps with reducing hunger and improves gut health. Yoghurt can provide you with calcium, potassium, protein and iodine.
Blueberries - Another great way to add a bit more sweetness to your smoothies or juices, blueberries are great for those seeking fruits lower in calories. They have antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and many other nutrients.
Strawberries - Not only are they a fantastic way to sweeten up your smoothie, but they are rich in antioxidants. They also contain Vitamin C, potassium, manganese and folate (vitamin B9).
Cucumber - Cucumber may sound like a strange choice to put in a smoothie, but the fact that it's high in nutrients and minerals makes it a great vegetable to add to your smoothie. It also helps with hydration.
Turmeric - We love using this in our smoothies due to its natural anti-inflammation purposes and the fact it is a powerful antioxidant. It's also great for skin, heart health, hay fever and keeping blood sugar levels steady.
Chia Seeds - Gives your smoothie a bit of a crunch. They are high in protein, antioxidants, fibre and minerals.
