Going Bananas For Smoothies!
Pairing the right ingredients to go into your daily smoothie can sometimes be a tricky (but tasty) business.
From strawberries to kale, there are so many different fruits, vegetables, protein powders and other ingredients you can throw into your Limae blender to make that perfect smoothie or juice to make your tastebuds dance.
We all dream of that perfect ingredient that will complete our smoothie and won't leave us needing to start our creation all over again. Well we have one word for you. Bananas!
We are huge fans of including bananas in our smoothies. Why? Not only are they packed with amazing health benefits and kids love them, but they can make your smoothie creamier or even mask some of the stronger tasting ingredients, like kale.
Bananas are an excellent source of potassium and contain important nutrients and antioxidants that are a must have for every diet. They are also thought to moderate blood sugar levels, support heart and digestive health, are rich in natural sugars and help you feel more full.
Need we say more? Bananas are one of our chosen staple foods for our smoothies. Not to mention, we've found a smoothie you can literally go bananas for!
One whole banana, peeled and thinly sliced
One tablespoon of your favourite banana flavoured or Greek yoghurt
1/4 cup of whole almonds
Half an orange
A teaspoon of honey
